NBA Jersey Sponsorship
Reaching CMOs of multinational brands who oversee seven- and eight-figure sponsorships is an immense challenge. For a small-market sports team, it’s even tougher.
With a new jersey sponsor needed, we had to create a strategy for the Bucks that would capture the attention of these influential brand leaders.
We reimagined Giannis Antetokounmpo’s size 16 Nikes, custom-designing them to feature over two dozen global brands. Each pair was then placed alongside a branded jersey inside a handcrafted wooden box, laser-engraved and equipped with a built-in video screen to tell our story: that a population 89 times the size of New York City would see their brand every time the team played.
The result? CMOs noticed, and a series of conversations ultimately led to the Bucks striking a multiyear, multimillion-dollar partnership with Motorola in time to be featured on the jersey as the Bucks won the NBA title.
